90'S
In the year 1990 Irma offered another preview for the Albanian territory, playing the concert for piano and orchestra by Ravel in Sol (banned by the regime), with the symphony orchestra of the RTA at the Opera and Ballet Theater of Tirana (TOB), directed by M.E.Koço.
In 1991 she held a concert for the Democracy by the internationally renowned actor Mirush Kabashi at the Aleksander Moisiu Theater in Durres. This was also the year in which Irma Picari moved to Italy, where she immediately obtained the position as piano teacher at the Martucciana Accademy in Capua.
Shortly after, Irma performed at the Bellini Theater in Naples with a classical-Albanian repertoire. Critics defined her as "CREATOR OF ENCHANTMENTS" with an article written in the Caserta newspaper on June 26, 1991. After moving to Lombardy in 1992, she worked with the world famous singer G.Di Stefano and continued her concert activity as a soloist in various cities of the region.
2000s
In 2001 Irma Picari attended a Master in piano directed by S.Gadjiev and graduated again at the Giovanni Verdi Conservatory in Milan. She continued her teaching and musical research activity in various music schools in the region and performed in concerts in Italy, Germany, Belgium and the United States.
In 2003 on the occasion of the opening concert of the "ViViMUSICA ViVi MUSEO" piano festival in Lecco, the newspaper "La Provincia" of Lecco wrote: "A certainly curious and interesting program, actually a program full of little-visited pages, which embraces a broad historical period ranging from the eighteenth century to the second half of the twentieth century (Hayden-Liszt Albeniz, Harapi, Ibrahimi, Zacharian)" and goes on "The program presented by Picari is ambitious and difficult, with pages of great virtuosity (Campanella and Liszt's Tarantella, Albeniz's Malaguena and Asturias), alongside Haydn's sonata and pages not known at all ”.
In 2004, after having encountered enormous curiosity about the Albanian piano school, Irma decided to propose, in a world premiere, an exclusive program of Albanian composers.
Irma is also the only pianist in the world who decided to perform a live concert from memory in its integral version. It is one of the most beautiful pages of Jazz music: "The Kòln Concert" by Keith Jarrett. The project was so successful that Irma proposed it throughout northern Italy.
In 2008 Irma moved to the province of Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche region, where she continued her concert activity, both classical and jazz. Five years after moving, in 2013, she founded the cultural association “GREIS SCHOOL", of which she is President, Artistic Director, and also piano teacher. It is in these years that Irma gives life to the International Piano Festival "San Giacomo della Marca" and to the project "Vivi la Musica" in the Marche region, where she is also the artistic director. This one, Vivi la Musica, is an international competition with no age limits that offers Masters and internships held by Picari. It is also in these years that Irma collaborates with Maestro Marcello Abbado in various juries, as Artistic Director.
In 2015 she is the only pianist to have interpreted "The Life of Don Giussani", a book written by Alberto Savorana. Giussani was a very important figure in Christianity, recognised for an important value in his journey through beauty, attributed to young people. Appreciated for his commitment (Don Giussani) by the Vatican, by Pope John II Wojtyla, Ratzinger and Pope Francis. “Irma Picari has brought a new interpretation of the classical repertoire based on the philosophy of this life, the path of beauty”.
In 2015 she participated as a guest in the anniversary of the "Bienale e Neteve Muzikore" in Albania, Albeniz e Granados e Ravel program. After that, Irma participated in the jury of the international competition "Nuova Coppa Pianisti" of Osimo (AN), one of the oldest and most important competitions in Italy which she has been a member of since that year of the Alink-Argerich Foundation.
In the same year, Irma was a guest at the Pianodrom (International Piano Festival) in Tirana, where she performed Keith Jarrett's "The Kòln Concert" (full version from memory). The program performed was a world premiere. Subsequently, Irma Picari joined the jury of the international competition "The young pianist" in Pristina, Kosovo, and offered a free Master to the winner of the competition in Italy held by her.
In 2017 Irma went to China where she collaborated with Yue Gu at the Learning community of the city of Foshan. Back in Italy, Irma obtained the chair at the Giacomo Rossini Pesaro Conservatory.
Her collaboration with China continued, and in 2018 Irma took part in the jury of the "China International Piano Festival of BOYA" in Shenzhen. In the same city, AoBo Art School Children's Palas offered a Masterclass to teachers and students.
Irma also continued to collaborate with Albania and Kosovo, and in 2019 she offered several Masterclasses in the two territories. She decided to open a branch of her school in Albania.
